Pc Anywhere and Bell Sympatico can't connect anymore after settings change

Here is the story

 

Equipment:

 

1 - Efficient Networks Speedstream 5200 (USB & Ethernet) Modem
2 - Linksys WRT54GS 3 computers hardwired router

 

I have the same setup at home and the router is set to use DHCP and it has always worked no problems.

 

At the office it has also been using DHCP never a problem. Until now.

 

I use Symantec PC Anywhere to connect to the office and do software changes.

 

On March 27th the internet went down as well as our Moneris credit card machine which is on the same line.

3 hours on line with bell they said it is our fault and made us change the router settings to PPPOE.

 

It still did not work, then they conferenced in another support person who said that it was not enough power going

throught the phone line and that they had to adjust it on their end. It worked again

 

 

I need PC Anywhere to function again but it seems that using PPPOE has changed something that won't allow PC Anywhere to connect.

 

I have tried the Telnet then Open Port ( I am using getmyip.com to keep track of the changing IP address) but it won't open port 5631 anymore.

 

Does PPPOE mess something up and is there a way to fix this.
