PC motherboard replaced now license message indicates no longer active

I have a 3 license pack and all 3 are loaded on pc's however the motherboard on one failed and now I am getting a message to activate my license. When the license is entered I am informed that no more licenses are available. (duh) Im only attempting to reuse an existing license on PC that failed and was rebuilt. Im not trying to get something for nothing here just fix what I have paid for.

How do I get this license reset ? This is a 2011 version and my subscription extends to June 2012

Help

Hi dnfriedl,

Welcome to the Norton Community. I am sorry to hear you are having problems with this but we'll get it resolved for you.

What version of NIS 2011 do you have? You can find the version from Support > About. Also what version of Windows and SP do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

We ask the above just to make sure you are fully up to date. In this case however, this is not the cause of your issue.

Please visit Customer Service and explain the circumstances to them and they will add an activation back on to your account so that you can activate NIS on this computer. Fill in your language and product information and then click on CHAT for the fastest resolution.

Also please be aware that you are entitled to a free upgrade to NIS 2012 if your subscription is current. I encourage you to do this upgrade after you have gotten your current issue resolved. Please let us know if you would like to do this and we will provide further guidance.

Also, please note that starting with NIS 2012 there is a new feature called Norton Management which can resolve the issue you have without you having to visit Customer Service - you would be able to resolve this issue in the future completely on your own.

Please see the following post for more details on this feature.

For now, since you have NIS 2011 Customer Service are the only ones who can take care of this for you.

Please do let us know how it goes.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen
