PCEU RANSOMWARE

Having used Norton for many years without problems I am disappointed, to say the least, that Norton Int Sec 360 completely failed to stop my computer from being hit by the PCeU Ransomware bug on 12/3.  Luckily I have another computer (and have spent a career with computers) so I was able to find out what to do fairly quickly.  Turned the infected computer on, looged in and got the PCeU screen.  Then unplugged the power so I could force a re-boot in safe mode which is unaffected by the bug.  I then did a full Norton scan (took ages) which found nothing other than 37 tracking items!!!!!  I then downloaded 'Malwarebytes' and in a 5 minute scan it found the offending 'ransomware' bug plus 2 other 'red' classified trojans.  It removed them, I re-booted and all was back to normal.  So, point is I pays my money for a so called quality product from Norton yet it then fails the test.  Little wonder there are many posts from normal people who are worried stiff about how to resolve this problem (Ransomware).  If free downloads from Malware etc can sort it why does Norton miss it.  I do not require help - just letting off steam as there seems no other way of doing it and am more than disappointed with Norton.
