Hi all
I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem in Norton Family. Recently I've been getting emails from Norton saying that my son "has turned off permissions for Norton Family on his device. To monitor, turn on permissions.
For more details, sign in to the Norton Family website or mobile app and click or tap Alerts."
When I log in to Norton and go to Alerts it simply lists the number of times that my son has turned off permissions. It doesnt allow me to turn them back on as the Norton email suggests. Firstly I need to work out how to turn them back on again and how my son is able to turn them off.
Thanks in advance :)
Terrence
Hi @Terrentius,
We recommend you to block "Settings" app under "App Supervision" in Norton Family website to restrict your child from disabling the permissions.
Thanks and regards,

Ok I can do that when I see him. He lives in the US and I’m in New Zealand. I’ll see him next month. How has he been able to do this? There’s no way he could ever know my password to disable permissions.
weHi @Terrentius,
The tamper e-mail attached indicates that permissions have been changed on your child's device and hence you will have to re-enable them in the child device only (can't be done via portal).
Can you kindly follow the steps below to re-enable the permissions (we will add these steps as part of our e-mail content for better clarity)/
- Open Settings app
- Navigate to Apps->Norton Family->Permissions
- Find out the permission that has been disabled and turn it on again.
Thanks and regards,
