Personal Information and Webmail

Hi --

I have entered my daughter's email address as personal information in her profile.  She uses a webmail account provided by her school. She can receive email through the web account, and she can send a message that she has created, but when she tries to reply to a message sent to her she gets a warning about providing her personal information and the email is not sent.  The problem is resolved when I turn off the personal information monitoring.

I have entered the webmail site in the list of allowed websites.

Is there a way around this problem so I can continue to monitor personal information but she is allowed to send from her webmail account?

Thank you.

Hi lesleyr,

We haven't been able to reproduce it.  I understand the webmail account is from her school.  Does she experience the same issue when using other webmail account, like yahoo account?

Thanks,

Katie

lesleyr,

I was not able to reproduce it using yahoo account.  What's the domain of the school website?

Thanks,

Katie

I tried it using gmail and did not have a problem.  I noticed that on the reply from gmail the address info from the original email was not included, only the body of the original message.  On the reply from the school account the original address information, including the "to" and "from" address, were displayed in the reply email.  I expect that the personal information is picked up in the reply from the "to" in the original email.  This is not a problem with gmail because the original "to" is not displayed.

The school domain is whschool.org

In any case I think I'll turn off the personal info monitoring.  It seems to work with only one email address and my daughter, like many teens, uses at least two different email addresses.

I'd appreciate any advice you have.  Thanks for your help.

Lesley

Hi lesleyr,

Thanks for the update.  We'll check into the issue.
