I am running Norton Utilities 16 under Windows 10 Home (Version 1703, Build 15063.540).
Bleaching my 500Gb disk takes about 5 hours (most space is free). I returned to check on the bleaching task and is seems, if I understand what I was seeing in Windows Event Viewer, that the program was halted because it was hung. I restarted the PC and restarted the bleaching, but saw that the program showed from the start that there was only about 200Gb to bleach.
After the program completed (it completed normally), I searched for large files and found 270 pgbleach.xxx files - the first 269 were 1Gb and the last was 318Mb. Thanks to this forum I believe I can safely delete these files, but there were two other large files with time stamps from about when I found the bleach program had been terminated and I am wondering if I should also delete those. The files are in C:\ProgramData\Norton and are named
ncwmrc.db.bak and ncwmrc.db.bak.data
