Phishing phone call

Tried to reinstall Norton windows 10 as I fix a reset and it disappeared. As soon as I put information into the download page I got a phone call from California (I am in Australia). After telling me my details such as my email, phone number, kind of account I have. He asked me to give him remote access to my computer.this was an unsolicited call prompted by my attempt to download Norton 360 from what I thought was an official site. I did not give him access but still cannot download Norton.

Good to hear.  Thanks for letting us know.

Thank you krusty. I thought I was on an official site but maybe not. Anyway I used your link and all good now. But just when I was signing on a page flashed up telling me my subscription was out! I new it wasn’t so just ignored it and it went away.
Cheers

G'day Ozpom,

Sorry to hear about that.  You should always only go to norton.com sites.  Good thing you never granted them access to your machine

You can download directly from here:

http://www.norton.com/cspn360

Alternatively you can sign into https://my.norton.com/ and download from there.

Remember to run Live Update, restarting where required until no more updates are offered.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks.
