Apologies if this is a well-known issue! My wife reported to me that Norton Confidential appeared to have stopped working with Firefox, her preferred browser. When i checked, i could see that the phishing toolbar was present but did not appear to be functional: the "Norton Confidential" part appeared in the UL as usual, but the bar did not respond to new pages and did not show a message of any kind (e.g., "No Fraud Detected"). I tried running a self-repair routine mentioned some time ago in this community, without result, then downloaded and installed the latest version of Firefox for Mac. The phishing bar is now entirely absent. Norton Confidential reports that phishing protection is installed and the preference is set to display the toolbar in the browser. It appears to be working normally with Safari, which I've suggested she use as a short-term solution.
She bought Internet Security last year.
