Does anyone know if there is any way to detect if online photo sharing has security features built into it? I have been using Facebook in the past however I would like to use another network such as Fambler to share albums with. It seems to have some great privacy features that will keep my photos only shared with those I'm intersted in sharing with. Has anyone looked into this on other networks as well?
Thanks in advance
Thanks Dick, I haven't reached out to them yet but I was reading the line that mentioned Fambler uses 256bit encryption to secure it's photo albums for customers here - photo sharing security
I'm guessing Facebook and Flickr probably do the same but I wasn't able to come across any pages that specified this. I'll try contacting them to find out if they use the same precautions.
From the little research I did it looks like none of the photo sharing networks can prevent people from downloading images once they are made public for users to see, however most sites offer protection while uploading and downloading the images. I'll reach out to their service teams and post anything relevant that I may find.
