Picture Save and Save is very slow in IE8 and Firefox and other software when NIS Antivirus Auto-protect on.
Picture saving time can vary, but every "SAVE AS" the dialog box freezes on screen and the hard disk does a lot of activity.
However if I turn off Antivirus Auto Protect the file save and save as function are spontaneous!
I have done a complete uninstall of NIS 2010 using the software and a re-install after a reboot, but I still get this problem.
I see more issues of this at other forums but little question and no answer to this problem on the community board or Symantec's help.
Do I need to do a deeper, separate piece of software do clean out older NIS parts that might be getting in the way.
I do a fair amount of picture processing at times and this is getting to be a exceptional delay in my work waiting for this process to resolve the conflict association with NIS and the Auto-protect.
