Good Morning,

Is there anyway to stop pifCrawl.exe from executing?  It kicks in the notification that there are updates available, and does this constantly, throughout the day.  I update all my security files manually, everyday, at a set time.  The reason I do it myself is because I am on-line constantly, and these alerts pop up, minimizing the program I'm in which is not only very annoying but can lead to costly errors.

I tried to delete the file, but it won't let me do that.  I gues I could  download a program that will let me do it, but I only do that as a last resort.

Your help is appreciated.

Sincerely,

JohnC

Thanks for the help, appreciate it.  There was no solution in the referenced link - I had read that before I posted the question here - just a discussion about what to do about it, and eventually the case resolved itself when the lady who posted the question discovered it was a valid Norton program acessing the net for updates.

While typing this note, though, I realized I can go and put the executable on the list of programs that isn't allowed to access the web, and hopefully that will prevent anymore problems.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

JohnC

Please try that and let us know if that did the trick
