I am just trying out the Online Family product and it would seem that personal information is not blocked when sent via email ... tested this with Microsoft Outlook. The smtp connection is SSL enabled and I suspect that is why?
Can you help me understand how to block PII via email as I have described? Or does this product not even support that?

The primary purpose of the Online Family Safety Minder personal information protection feature is to block personal information posted via the web, or through IM traffic. POP3 mail traffic is not supported at this time.
Norton Internet Security's Add-On-Pack (bonus pack) has a privacy control feature that can be used to scan and block personal information via email.
Unfortunately, Norton Safety Minder is not compatible with the Bonus-Pack.
Is your child using POP3 email?
Yes, she uses pop3/smtp over ssl in MS Outlook 2003. I may try the addon pack instead. Thanks…
