I am extremely disappointed with Symantec's recent decision to discontinue support for the Firefox browser for NIS 2012 and earlier versions when FF18 is released in early January 2013.
I am an NIS 2011 user and only discovered that Symantec is not releasing a FF17-compatible update of the Norton Toolbar for NIS 2011 after I upgraded to FF17 yesterday (see my 23-Nov-2012 post here in the Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe forum). I then discovered that NIS 2013 will be the only Norton product supporting Firefox once FF18 is released. (see Tony Weiss' post here).
Even a simple announcement in the forum warning NIS 2011 users that their browser protection was being cut off would have been appreciated. I have been a loyal NIS user for several years but do not want to use the NIS 2013 online vault for storing Identity Safe passwords (a whole other issue) and will be looking for another security suite once my annual subscription expires.
