HI folks. I'm hoping I can get some help here. I've recently picked up the lovely virus known as hacktool.rootkit. I've run Norton several times and it is unable to quarantine it. I've turned off the system restore....I'm currently running in safe mode.....however, I'm not able to open my Norton to run a scan while in safe mode for some reason.
While running normally, I did find out that the virus is located at c:\windows\system32\drivers\osiyiwdw.sys
However, when I go into the drivers while in safe mode to delete that file, there is no file there under that name. Any suggestions?
And forgive me in advance, I'm computer ignorant, so you're going to have to speak in layman terms with me.

PS: I've had this for two days now. And any time I'm not on the computer I disconnect from the Internet entirely. Do you think I should still change all of my bank info and credit card information, or should I be safe?
