I have been using Norton for years. I recently moved to IMAP because I am increasingly managing my emails from multiple devices and POP is no longer viable. People have been asking for IMAP support in Antispam since at least 2011. What I do not understand is why Symantic refuses to add in IMAP support. I have seen people claim its because unlike POP emails are left on the server and don't get "downloaded", however I can install the Antispam plugin in Outlook and hit a button to manually move an email to the spam folder. This proves to me that an email client plugin can manipulate emails. Granted unlike unencrypted POP AntiSpam can't insert itself into the "download stream". but at the very least, the inbox could be scanned to remove spam after it has been sync'd to the client. This is a solvable problem! I would be happy even if I had to manual push a button to scrub my inbox instead of having to delete spam one email at at time.
