Just received a popup from Norton advertising their "New Norton Secure Browser".
Norton - please discontinue this form of advertising. Having these popups appear on my Windows desktop are very disruptive. I am sure your other customers have this same concern.
You have our contact information for marketing your products, and other alerts.
Please discontinue these popups and use your other marketing tools such as bulk e-mail to provide this type of information.
... and while I'm at it, Norton's habit to automatically recreate desktop items and their occasional scare-tactics are also pretty annoying ...
I do not want another browser. I do not want another password manager. I do not want another VPN. I do not want additional cloud storage. I do not want a "smart scan". I do not want a "software updater". I do not want "anti tracking". I do not want "dark web monitoring...
Norton's continual advertisements are extremely annoying. I have already paid for the product and have disabled the "special offers" option, yet Norton keeps bombarding me with more "special offers". I deeply resent the apparent contempt that Norton seems to hold their customers in and will not be renewing my subscription.
I have had Special Offers disabled since Norton made it an option. But after an update a few minutes ago, I opened Edge and there was a tab wanting me to download Norton browser. So Norton is ignoring the Special Offers setting. This is the second time it has happened.
Most times when there is an update to Norton 360, the flag to display the prompt next time you open your browser. I'm not sure anyone has been able to stop this from happening.
Does anyone from Norton read these posts?
The problem is that the marketing department has been running the show at Norton. The hundreds of complaints about popups have fallen on deaf ears.

@PJF 12555, if you don't already have the "Special Offer Notification" disabled in Norton 360, you can do so by opening Norton Device Security>Settings>Administrative Settings and, toward the bottom, toggling the "Special Offer Notification" to off.
