Pleased with NIS 2012. except for antispam (again)

I have no complaints about NIS 2012, just as I was happy with the performance of 2011. (Although I could do without warnings that one’s subscription is going to expire in a month, where the “recommended” action is to renew immediately – i.e., a month early.) The one real disappointment in this edition, as in the last, is the quality of the antispam filter. Of my last 25 spam e-mails, Norton failed to catch 11, which is about the same proportion I saw with 2011. Blacklisting individual addresses isn’t particularly effective with spammers, particularly when they make it look as though the sham offers are coming from your own address. But even though I regularly reclassify as spam the e-mails that slipped through, the filter doesn’t “learn” and very similar spam continues to land in my inbox. Do others have the same experience?
