What is the error message you are seeing?

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

Hello @John_Purretta

Since you’re running Windows 10 with a 3840 × 2160 (4K) display, I’d first suspect a display scaling (DPI) issue rather than the monitor or NVIDIA graphics card itself.

Could you check the following?

  • Settings > System > Display > Scale and layout
    • What is the Scale setting (100%, 125%, 150%, 175%, etc.)?
  • Does this happen only with Norton pop-up notifications, or do Windows notifications also appear partially off-screen?
  • If you temporarily change the display scaling to 100%, do the pop-ups appear correctly?
  • If possible, please post a screenshot showing how much of the notification is off-screen.

That information should help determine whether this is a Windows display scaling issue or a Norton notification positioning bug.

If you’re at 100% scaling and only Norton notifications are shifted off the right edge, that starts looking much more like a Norton UI bug than a Windows issue. Conversely, if increasing or decreasing the scaling changes the behavior, DPI awareness becomes the leading suspect.

John and bjm:

I experience the same issue as John. It happens only with Norton AntiTrack pop-up notifications, and not with any other programs or apps.

I am running Windows 11 Pro version 25H2, OS build 26200.8973, with the latest updates.

The computer is a Dell 8940 desktop with an Intel Core 9 11900K cpu and 64GB of RAM.

The monitor is a Dell P272DEB 27 inch monitor running through an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB of RAM.

The monitor is set to display at 100% scale and 2560x1440 resolution.

It’s hard to get a screenshot showing the issue, since the issue occurs only intermittently.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Peter Shawhan

Yes, I have scaling set to 350%. I have not seen this happen with other apps. I just recently purchaced Norton AntiTrack so this is a fairly recent installation. I also have Norton 360 Delux and Norton Utilities Ultimate.

This is weird. Under custom scaling it says it is set to 190. I set it to 100 and will reboot. Hopefully the app will try to post a message.

Sorry, I couldn’t get it to post anything so I set it back to what it was so I could actually read the screen. This looks like it may have been written in Java. I’ve seen this issue in the past with Java apps.

Maybe @nivasraja should also have a look?

Hello @John_Purretta & All,

Thanks for sharing these details!

To help narrow this down, could you please provide the Norton AntiTrack app version, confirm whether you’re using one or multiple monitors, and let us know whether Windows taskbar auto-hide is enabled?

If possible, please also add a screenshot the next time the notification appears partially off-screen.

@nivasraja -

I can’t tell which version of Norton AntiTrack I am using. The app itself does not display a version number, either on the main screen or on the settings screen. I logged onto my Norton account and went to my orders, and it listed AntiTrack, but did not indicate a version number.

I am using a single 27” monitor - more details on the monitor in message #3 in this thread.

Hello @Peter_B_Shawhan ,

To find the version number, please right click the Norton AntiTrack system tray icon at the right bottom and click About.

I only have a single monitor. I don’t know if I want to play any more. That last test scrambled my desktop icons.

I changed my settings not to use Custom settings. Scaling is now set to 200%. I’ll let you know if it happens again.

I am running version 4.7.7063.14126

Taskbar is not in auto-hide mode.
