My wife’s computer had a pop up message informing her that the computer was infected and to call a Microsoft tech support number. This number was a part of the scam. Fortunately she did not give the scammers any information and asked them to call back when I would be home. Be aware and make sure you know who you are calling. Don’t panic. That number was:866-771-1158. If it appears on a popup don’t use it!
