Do you install anti-virus program in your PC? You can try to install anti-virus in safe mode. If fail, you can modify the startup option in ‘msconfig’ to shut up some unnecessary services and programs, and try to install anti-virus again. But such problem is very tough, my suggestion is that it’s be better to install OS again. Or you can get a anti-virus installation disc, some anti-virus discs will be able to scan viruses in dos when you set ‘boot from cd’
guyinasuit,
Sorry to hear of your problem. You did not mention if you had any security software installed prior to this problem. If so can you tell us what product?
Since your computer appears to unstable when going onto the internet and that antivirus software is immediately corrupted, I would suggest this:
Have a friend download the FREE version of Malwarebytes onto a CD or a flash drive. This is a very small program, so hopefully you can get it installed without any issues.
Before installing, unplug from the internet and then install and run a scan with Malwarebytes in SAFE MODE and see if some progress is made. Please note that this is not a final fix, but may get your machine to a state when more cleaning can take place.
Please report back with your progress.
I would also recommend that you review this post:

Running my anti-virus from a flash drive in safe mode worked! Thanks a bunch guys. I really appreciate your help.
