Does Microsoft make unsolicited telephone calls to customers about potential threats? A self identified Mirosoft employee called claiming MS had received several messages from my computer about technical failures; in investigating, MS found that the computer had several IP addresses, some from other countries. (I do not even know what that means. I communicate from one location only; that location is in the US.)
I am leery. The MS representative will call me again at 11:30 am, EDT.
I trust Norton only. Does MS make this type approach? How an I verify that this is legitamate.
