I just updated to El Capitan this morning.
I then downloaded the NIS installer from Comcast.
Problem is, the NIS installer available from Comcast is v. 5.7, which is incompatible with El Capitan.
When I try to install it, I get an error message, saying the installation failed, because it's not compatible with El Capitan.
I was hoping to install v. 5.7, then have it automatically update to v. 5.8. However, since the installation of v. 5.7 fails, this is not possible.
I contacted Comcast. They said they don't yet have v. 5.8 available for download on their website. Fingers crossed they have it available soon, if at all.
Any word on whether or when Comcast will make v. 5.8 available?
Note that I did not install NIS before upgrading to El Capitan. Had I done so, I know I could have upgraded to NIS 5.8 via LiveUpdate. However, since I didn't do that, I can't even install LiveUpdate.
Any suggestions?
