After two weeks of reading post after post and wasting time with customer support, I changed my auto renewal to "no". I had flawless lattop - always dependable - I don't recall a single issue, that is, until I installed Norton. Since then- aborted full scans with computer shutdown, some with warnings about damage to files, crash dumps, lost operating system. Having read dozens of posts, it appears no one really knows why these things happen- least of all Norton. The only apparent answer is that Norton doesn't konw and could care less, otherwise an update to fix the problem would be available. Fooled me once - won't get fooled again.
