I have a Win7 64-bit laptop that just had a catastrophic motherboard failure and need to send it in for service. I need to make sure I don't lose my data, which not all of was backed up. I am planning on taking the hard drives out and copying the contents to an external hard drive via my Win7 64-bit desktop machine. Is there an advantage to using Ghost to accomplish this task? Some of the most important data is under my C:\Users\MYUSERNAME folder. I'm worried about that as I think there is some form of data lock in this folder isn't there? I need to access stuff like my iTunes data and a few other important things from this area.
