Earlier today while using Windows Sysinternals' Process Explorer v16.12, I was alerted to a Trojan within a thread of the Windows Installer. "trojan.agent virus"/"W32.eHeur.AgentVirus." Norton says it can't get definition updates because Proxy settings won't let it get to internet. Never had that problem before. Tried Malwarebytes but it is not running at all -- also a first. Finally Norton did a deep scan I requested but showed no threats. Now trying Power Eraser and it still is not progressing. Lots of buggy issues. Web pages not loading do to proxy issues. Programs not running. However, I have only gotten one error message. This was related to the Windows Installer: Would not uninstall a program, Kept saying the program was running, but it wasn't. Task Manager showed nothing. Process Explorer showed some problems with DLL file in Win Installer thread. When I selected it to find the issue, I was alerted to the virus.
