New to the forum, hope I'm in the right place.
I have W7, and latest Norton Utilities. After I run it, my power plan settings are "not available." The only way I can then retrieve them is by doing a system restore. One time this happened about four or five months ago though, and it eventually fixed itself (meaning I could see my power plan settings again) after a few weeks, for some reason unbeknownst to me.
I am aware that registry scans can create some problems but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this? I'd like to be able to run the scan w/o losing my power plan settings.
BTW the settings don't actually disappear, they are just not available on Control Panel>System>Power Plan. If I go into DOS I can see they are still actually there.
