Power

Hi

Norton Power Eraser is a aggressive tool not meant for daily scans.I am aware of that but it does an excellent job at detecting unknown threats as well as leftover.dll of other threats!  :smileyhappy:

Many Vendors these Day have introduced an option by which the suite at times can notify a user about a particular suspicious .exe,.dll etc!

Norton Power Eraser does a good job at finding threats that Sonar and other layers of Security in Norton suites have missed.

Lets say Norton Power eraser is integrated and is configured like auto protect it can immediately notify a user of a bad/suspicious file

Well I know Norton Power eraser does have false positives but If Power eraser is integrated as a feature that notifies users of suspicious/ bad files

Notifying the user can prompt him/her to post in the community forum or ask for help or google for info on ***.exe/**.dll google to check if its a threat or not.

A lot of users complain threats are goin past Norton`s Layers of Protection so this will add another layer of protection.

as far as i have used Norton Power eraser it has very few false positives and does an absolutely excellent job at finding unknown malware.

Adding a Feature / system which would alert users of suspicious/ bad files will be of great help at detecting and trying to rectify threats as soon as possible.

Users can have an option in quarantine to remove the suspicious/bad file.

The user being notified can help a great deal

Don`t you think???

If integrated to full system scans it can even help spot garbage files/.dll of a threat.Integrating it can make the computer more secure.

Variants of Zeus trojan don`t have any symptoms except for occasional system slow down.

A feature like this alerting the user of a suspicious .exe that the user has no idea where it came from can help a great deal!!!     :smileywink:
