Why not make public announcements on upcoming major releases of those Norton products that (appear to) receive little to no attention in their product development and release cycle? Products such as: Norton Utilities (albeit the year and half old version 16 has received a couple of minor point updates - thank you), and Norton Hotspot Privacy (also about a year and half old - could receive a gold star for its simplicity and ease of use, however its underbelly requires a little more serious work in order to maintain the user's safety and security while using same). And because of no word from Norton/Symantec, complete silence as far as any public advertisements go, about whether there will be another major version release coming, users of these products are left in the dark, not knowing whether to remain with Norton (assuming known bugs and failings are fixed) or move on to another company.
And in regard to announcing forthcoming releases I am not asking that Norton reveal any trade secrets (!) or such, just that such and such product is in development, and hopefully be able to provide an approximate release timetable.
So very many things are truly possible. And as far as Norton/Symantec goes in this matter I hope this is one.
