I carry stocks of NIS so that if a client needs protection I can propose and give him a copy on the spot. I was about to buy Norton Security from either PC World or Amazon (sold by and despatched from Amazon) when Norton customer services told me in the 1st phone call that there was no difference between NIS and NS when clearly the interface is different if nothing else and in the 2nd phone call that I should not buy from either of these sources because the product needs to be pre-authorised and they are having problems with these resellers in the UK pre-authorising the product. I suspected this was something new which applied only to NS but customer services said that it applied equally to NIS. I do not think so and hence I am confused and looking for clarification please.
I would prefer to buy from these genuine sources because the 10 devices with backup NS is only £34.99 significantly cheaper than buying direct from Norton.
