Pre Installed NIS 2012 ( Software Update ) and this new toolbar it installed

Hello,

 

I just bought a new pc for my mother and it had a 30 day Norton NIS 2012 installed on it.

 

Well I installed it on my aunts pc and im like this doesnt look what whats on her pc the main screen looked different it didnt have SECURE on the left side of the screen

 

Ours looked like this on this computer ( The Brand new one )

But on my aunts it looked like:

So I came back in here and I went to HELP > ABOUT > CHECK FOR UPDATE ( I think it was )

 

and it downloaded the new one and it lookes like picture two now

 

I plan on buying a sub. once the free days get lower

 

But now I have this toobar in chrome called NORTON BAR..... And it asked me to use the SECURITY VALT instead of Chromes password manager.

 

So the question is.........

 

Is it safer with the valt than to use chromes built in manager?

 

Whats the pros and cons of it?
