Prevented from going online Windows 11

Hi. I am using Norton 360 with Windows 11. I use its vpn and everything has worked well for months but suddenly I am prevented from going online no matter which browser I use. Uninstalling Norton and reinstalling helps for a day or so but I then have the same issue. Turning off smart firewall makes no difference and turning off vpn makes no difference. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Check your VPN settings and turn off Kill Switch if it is on. Restart your computer and test.

Thank you for your reply. Nothing seems untoward about the VPN settings and the killswitch is off. The issue remains a mystery.
