The pricing for Norton Internet Security 2011 is strange. I was looking to upgrade my NIS 2010. The upgrade is $49.99 for 3 licenses. However, if I buy NIS 2011 at retail the price is a little under $30 after tax and rebate. How does this make sense? I've been using NIS for a few years and I get to pay more than someone who just bought it? I will probably buy a new version and save the money but I am curious as to the logic behind the pricing.
