Problem activating NAV 2010

I had NAV 2009 installed on a XP and a Vista machine using a licence that will expire in February.

 

I have just upgraded both machines to NAV 2010 using the AutoDetectPkg obtained from Norton Update Center. I didn't uninstall anything before proceeding with the install.

 

Every time I try to activate NAV I am presented with "No response received from the Symantec server".

 

There are no problems connecting to LiveUpdate to update the defintions. (I'm stuck with the 15 day trial)

 

Any help appreciated.
