Problem bei der Neuinstallation von Norton 360 bedingt durch nichtt vollständige Deinstallation der Vorgänger Version

Ich habe ein Problem bei der Neuinstallation von Norton 360 aufgrund einer Fehlermeldung durch die zuvor Installierte Norton 360 App ( Version22.24.8.36).Die Neuinstallation kann nicht durch geführt werden, weil sich noch Reste der alten Version im System befinden .Ich habe sowohl das Norton Remove Tool als auch Revo Uninstaller Tool als auch die Temporären Dateien auf dem PC gelöscht , aber ich erhalte immer wieder die selbe Fehlermeldung. Ich bitte um eure Unterstützung bevor ich Registry Einträge ranmache.

I’m having trouble reinstalling Norton 360 due to an error message from the previously installed Norton 360 app (version 22.24.8.36). I’ve tried using the Norton Removal Tool, the Revo Uninstaller Tool, and deleting temporary files on my PC, but I keep getting the same error message. Are you trying to install v22 or v26?
Care to share the “error message”?
Did you uninstall Norton Family before running remove tool?
Did you run remove tool www.norton.com/nrnr → Remove only?
Did you scour File Explorer for remnants

Are you using a fresh installer directly from your Norton account instead of reusing an older installer package.
Did you try Windows repair commands such as:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

normally in this order:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

then after DISM completes:

sfc /scannow

Reasoning:

• DISM repairs the Windows component store (WinSxS) that SFC relies on.
• SFC then uses that repaired source to replace corrupted system files.

If SFC is run first while the component store itself is damaged, it may fail to repair some files properly.

Typical guidance:

• Run both from an elevated Command Prompt (“Run as administrator”).
• Reboot afterward even if no reboot is requested.
• Then retry the Norton install/removal process.

Also worth noting:
if DISM reports it repaired corruption, that meaningfully increases suspicion that the Norton reinstall issue may actually be secondary to underlying Windows servicing problems rather than “leftover Norton files” alone.

• Ich kann leider nicht die Fehler Benachrichtigung teilen, weil ich ein neuer Nutzer von Norton bin und ich somit nicht Medien teilen kann.

• ich hatte Norton Family nicht

• Im Remove Tool habe ich beide Sachen probiert: Remove Only , im abgesicherten Modus Neustarten.

• Ich hab nach restlichen Norton Dateien im System gesucht .Auch im Temporären Ordner.

• Ich habe den frischen Installer bei jeden Versuch gestartet.

Könnten Sie mir sagen wo man diesen “Windows Repair Command” eingeben muss,denn ich kenn mich mit solchen Sachen nicht so gut aus.

It says: “Uninstall conflicting apps to proceed,” and an app is listed below. When I click “Uninstall,” I am directed to the Settings menu, where apps can be deleted. However, when I click “Uninstall,” a message appears stating: “C:/Program Files(x86)/NortonInstaller/[0c55c096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7]/NGC/A5E8…/InstStub.exe” could not be found.

The error indicates Windows still has a registered Norton uninstall entry, but the actual uninstall file (InstStub.exe) no longer exists.

The problem appears to be a damaged uninstall registration rather than simple leftover files.

At this point, contacting Norton Support may be the safest approach.

Given that the uninstall stub file itself is missing (InstStub.exe could not be found ), this appears to be more than simple leftover files.

At this point, contacting Norton Support may be the safest approach.

• the Norton Remove Tool already failed,
• Revo did not resolve it,
• and the uninstall chain itself appears damaged,

Norton Support may have access to more advanced cleanup procedures or internal removal tools.

If you do continue troubleshooting yourself, I would still avoid manually deleting registry keys unless specifically directed by support.

Since the Norton uninstall appears damaged (InstStub.exe could not be found), I would personally avoid manual registry cleanup or aggressive third-party repair tools.

I do not feel comfortable suggesting troubleshooting beyond the built-in Windows repair commands.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

then after that completes:

sfc /scannow

Restart afterward and try the Norton reinstall again using a freshly downloaded installer from your Norton account.

If the uninstall/install problem continues after that, I would recommend working directly with Norton Support.

What app is listed below? If it is Norton VPN, that is because the newer Norton 360 apps will not install with the standalone Norton VPN installed. And the same goes for trying to install the new standalone Norton VPN if you have Norton 360 installed. You can only have one or the other.
