I had a HD crash on my Dell laptop a couple of months ago and had a new HD installed. When I tried to restore the files that were backed up on my external HD I was not able to do so. When I use the "Recover My Files" screen I am able to make the files appear in a list (some with folder icons and some with page icons). I can retrieve the items with the "page" icon, but not the files with the "folder" icon. The latter documents are from My Documents and contain my Word and Excel documents. When I select each folder the "Recover Files" tab stays grayed out and does not activate. I can't figure out what to do next. Any ideas?
