Running Windows 10 Pro version 1607 and a suite of Autodesk programs. This system is constantly kept up-to-date with updates from both manufacturers. I also stay up-to-date and scan for viruses and malware regularly. I keep this system clean of 'junk' programs. In attempting to run Autodesk's AutoCAD and 3ds Max (current versions), both programs take abnormally long to load. Without AF active, the programs take about 20-25 seconds each. When AF is running, both programs take over two minutes to load.
While 3DS Max is displaying its startup splash screen, it pauses for while when displaying the message "Initializing 3ds Max..."
While Autocad is displaying its startup splash screen, it pauses for while when displaying the message "Checking License..."
Since these are both subscription-based programs, it looks like the delay occurs when the Autodesk programs are trying to verify licensing status.
I cannot allow remote session access, but am looking for anything else that might point me to a solution other than disabling NF every time I want to run these programs. Again, these delays appear and disappear when NF is activated/deactivated.
Thanks.
