Can somebody help ?
tell me if Im doing this correct.
Do I need to run both computers at the same time?
Im having a problem trying to set up Norton Security Map. Durning discovery it never finds my other computer on my network.
I set up the passkey and it just continues to look for the other computer with no success.
What am I doing wrong?
Windows xp
Tony
Thanks for the reply, I have both computers on and both set to the same passkey. both searching at the sametime, but neither computer finds the other durning discovery.
Any other advice?
I still need an answer please
Hi,
Can you provide a few more details to the issue?
1) Are you having problems with the network map not showing the other computer at all? Or is it that they do not discover each other via Remote Monitoring?
2) Please describe your network configuration in detail. Are you connected to a router? etc...
3) Please PM me your "ipconfig /all" output.
They do not discover each other/
Im using a wired Linksys Firewall router
And not sure what is" ipconfig/all"output
Hope this helps
To do so:
1) Start->All Programs->Accessories->Right click on "Command Prompt" -> Select "Run as Administrator"
2) Click Yes/Allow on all the Vista UAC prompts
3) At the command prompt, type "ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt" (without the quotes)
(For XP, it's nearly the same except without the UAC prompts)
Can you then copy/paste the contents of ipconfig.txt into a PM (Private Message) to me?
Thanks,
/Chester
Hi k9,
You are correct; both computers need to be on, and both need to have Norton 360 v2 installed. Please try this and let us know if you need further instruction. Thanks!
