Just felt like posting this -- this is just strange. A few days ago I installed the new version of MS Edge (80.0.361.109) on my PC. When I went to the website www.wattsupwiththat.com , I started getting these banners telling me that Norton was out of date and I need to update it, and sometimes other banners, etc. I discovered that when I typed in the website URL, I accidentally typed in ",com" instead of ".com" - typed in a comma instead of a period. When I typed in the correct website, I kept getting these fake notices -- one of them was even blocked by Norton as a fake website attack. These notices had no "x" to shut down the browser winder, you could only click OK (so I shut the entire browser down instead). So, today, I cleared everything I could in Edge, except stored passwords, and that fixed the problem. BTW, only that one URL was affected -- every other website worked fine. And when I accessed that web site with my other browser (SeaMonkey), I did not have that problem.
