Problem with Ghost 14.0

I just installed my new copy of Ghost 14.0 on my Toshiba laptop running Vista Home Premium.  This is a brand new installation on the lap top.  No other software has been installed but the OS.  After insatlling Ghost I attempted to make an initial recovery point.  Every time I try, after avarying length of time, I get a message that says Ghost has lost the connection to the backup service with an error code of 800706be.  I can find no documentation anywhere for this error code.  The backup drive is a WD Mybook on a USB 2.0 connection.  Any help would be appreciated.
