Beginning with the install of 20.2.0.19, Google News freezes in IE9 ver 9.0.11, Chrome ver. 23.0.1271.91 and Firfox 16.0.2 until all components of the various news frames are loaded. This can take up to 30 seconds. Mouse cannot activate any hyperlink or browser drop down menu. No typing can occur until the loading is finished. The only functon that works from the keyboard is Ctl, Alt, Del. to get to Windows 7 Professional Task Manager. All updates of Win7 and ATI video drivers are current.
In disablng all the browser add-ons, this freeze and delay disappears only after disabling Norton Vulnerability Protection and reappears when it is enabled. My only thought is that because Google News is an aggregator of items from other websites, Norton Vulnerability Protection is scanning every single website that Google News is pulling from before it allows the browser to function.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
What browser protections disappear if the Vulnerability Protection is disabled? At this point I am assuming every protection disappears.
This does not occur with the Bing News page or any other Google page such as search, books, images, etc.
