Problems accessing and downloading Norton Family

Capture.PNGThis is one problem I am experiencing at the moment. It might be from a program that has not been uninstalled. I have tried disabling all extensions as well.

Yep, RBywater's solution worked like a charm!

Thanks for the help!

But I don't see the mark as solved button...

Can a moderator close it for me? thx.

Hi RBywater,

Thanks for the update.  If I understand correctly, the two issues are both fixed, right?  The issue I mentioned in my link is fixed by the steps provided in my private message.  The other one is fixed by steps provided from Microsoft.com, right?  If so, can you please mark the thread as Solved?

If I misunderstood anything, please let me know.

Thanks

Katie

Note that this issue and the one mentioned in that link are actually two different ones. The issue in this thread is about getting to the Norton Family website in the first place (which is required to download the installer) whilst the issue in the linked thread is about once you have the installer and are trying to run it.

One (this one) is potentially fixed by turning off "Receive segment coalescing" as per the microsoft.com link. The other is fixed (in my case at least) by tidying up some files.

Same issue at another thread:

Please check the link above for updates.

Thanks

Katie

I'm not sure if you are on Windows 10 but I had exactly the same issue on one of my computers which turned out to be an issue with Wifi after the Creators update.

I followed workaround #1 from https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/wifi-issues-with-creators-update/4a20ba4f-33dc-4397-9823-e12dcb2607ba and I can now download the installer.

However having said that I am still unable to install Norton Family as the installer is trying to download from 10.2.101.92 which is a "private" IP address range and not a valid for use outside your own network...
