Hi:
Installed a new ACER P185H LCD Monitor on our main family PC as per manufacturers instructions.
When I booted up the computer, it went into a kind of new computer set up mode.
It's an older Compaq computer with Windows XP operating system.
Long story short:
The computer has reverted to older versions of I.E., Firefox and Norton.
I installed Norton 2010 about 9 months ago. The install worked perfectly and the upgrade was seamless. The Norton program uninstalled 2005 before installing 2010. After completing the install, 2005 was replaced by 2010 on the installed programs list.
Now Norton 2010 has been replaced by 2005 on the list and is acting as if it was just installed with never ending pop ups to set firewall rules, program permissions etc.
Just wondering if anyone has run into a similar problem.
