Problems changing my Norton 360 Premier to a new pc

I have Norton 360 Premier (version 21.1.0.18) for 3 PC’s with 27GB of online storage. I had it installed on 3 PC’s until one of them bit the dust. I reinstalled it on the new PC (Windows 8, 64bit).

I tried to restore some files to the new PC from my online backup and a lot of crazy stuff happened. I now have a folder named Drive_C under Computer\Windows (C:)\Users\jmxxxx with a lot of folders I suppose from the old PC like Users, AppData, Desktop, Owner, etc.

I was going to delete them but thought I would get the other problems solved first.

When I first installed Norton 360 Premier, it would only go to about 2- 6% and then stop and gave me an error code “8504, 104”. I downloaded & ran the “Norton Power Eraser”. It found 0 risks. My PC still would not back up. I downloaded and ran the “Norton Removal Tool”. Then I got an error code “8702, 32”.  I uninstalled and then reinstalled the program. It seems to finish the backup now, but I can’t change the backup icons in Windows explorer from grayed out x’s to blue by clicking on the folder and choosing "Norton - Add to Backup”. I have to go to each file, right click and add to backup. This takes a lot of time. Also I went to Backup - Manage backup sets – What to backup – then configured what I wanted to backup removing a lot of the junk files, but when I go to explorer, they are still grayed out.

Also after the backup ran, it backed up a lot of files from iTunes that I did not have the extensions included for backup in “Manage backup sets”.

Can anyone (make sense of this) help me?

Thanks, John
