Problems reinstalling NOF

I have searched on here for a problem like mine I haven't found one so I will post a new one (if there is one previously I apologize)

 

Here is the issue I am having. I removed and reinstalled one on my other computer (no problem)

 

I was having a similar problem with the one on this computer.  Not only was my activity not being logged. but I was able to access ALL the sites that I have blocked with the adult content. I even have them in the manually entered spot for blocking and I can still access them even though it says my computer is running and protected in the settings page of NOF online settings.

 

I DO NOT see the safety minder icon, NOR can I install it because it says "you are trying to install an older version than you already have) alright no problem I'll just uninstall my current one and reinstall(think again) I can't uninstall it. When I clicked the "uninstall" icon in the online family drop menu in my start menu it said (file no longer exists would you like to remove it from your stat menu) I manually go into my programs and find it and hit uninstall, it just sits in limbo, no new process opens nothing. Just sits there, computer doesn't freeze or think on doing anything just nothing.

 

-On this computer I have windows 7 64 bit

-running windows explorer 9

-I do believe the NOF I have is 2.2.0.26

-The safety minder I am running is 2.2.0.43

(found that in the system restore point where I installed it, I don't want to restore my computer becaues then I will lose several other things which I just would not like to reinstall and get working again.

 

I tried booting in safe mode and uninstalling it, nothing same problem.

 

A little info on this, periodically every 20 minutes my computer would say "norton requires you to restart you computer now or later.) Done that to me twice after two restarts.

 

I did see at one point norton safety minder in my task tray, but now it's gone. Help! I need to get this resolved for my neice ASAP
