Problems with creating Windows 7 System Image

I am writing to see if there is an issue in creating a Windows 7 System Image with Norton 360 Installed.

I have tried to do a system backup to a USB Hard Drive.  The System Back up backed up all my data files, and then errors out when it tries to create a System Image.

I get an Error Code 0x8078002A.

When I searched the error code on the Web, I came across a few web sites that claimed the problem was caused by Norton 360.

I am writing to confirm if that is true.

If so, I will try and find other back up software that does not have that problem.

It is more important to me to keep using Norton 360 than to use Windows 7 System Backup.

Thanks for your help.

This info from Microsoft might also explain the problem. It will depend on the type of USB drive that you are using.

Thanks for the information.

I read the information and figured out that the 3.0TB Western Digital drive would not work with Windows 7 System Image Back up.

I tried the same back up using a 2.0TB Western Digital My Book drive I have and that drive worked fine.
