Hi,
A few days ago my computer picked up virus (I forgot the name) while I was surfing the internet. Norton and Malwarebytes picked up on it and recommened a restart. So naturally I did.
But when I logged back onto the user account all the program some icons where blank. When I double click on the icons (both on the desktop and menu) instead of running the program it instead computer asks me what program they want me to open it with. The programs I had previously had selected were gone, and I only got my disay program and fire fox on the list through manualy.
Now heres the weird part,
If I right click the program the menu comes up as normal. I can then choose the "run as administrator" or "start" and then the program will begin perfectly. Not only that but other users seem mostly uninfected and there icons/shortcuts still work fine (even if program are the same)
I have done scans with both norton 360 and Malwarebytes and everything is clear and updated. Im not sure what to do about it.
