I recently had to re-instal NIS because NIS was no longer running at startup (or, on demand for that matter). I noticed a couple of differences that may cause me problems, and I would like to know if there is a solution.
1) The anti-spam feature does not seem to include the Eudora e-mail program. Is there a way to scan the incoming and outgoing Eudora e-mail for viruses? Is that filtering still being done by having NIS run its own POP and SMTP servers?
2) I would like to do a custom scan particular folders in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data. The directory tree that appears after I click on Folder Scan does not include C: . Is there a way to include an arbitrary folder not in My Documents or Desktop in a custom scan?

Answer: Yup. Currently, the Antispam is not supported in Eudora. The email scanning feature in NIS should take care of it. I remember a volunteer posting sometime back that it supports all the PoP3 and SMTP through ports 110 and 25.

I think it should be possible. Can you post us a screenshot.
