Product Activation without Internet

All,

I am currently working on a solution to provide AV scanning/cleaning functionality on a totally standalone workstation - i.e. no connection to the internet is permitted from the workstation. Is there a solution for activating Norton 360 on this type of solution?

Hi merc1,

 

You have to connect to the internet to activate Norton. There is no possibility to activate Norton without any internet connection. Also, you need to be connected to the internet in order to download the latest definition files, patches etc. and keep your Norton product up-to-date.

Well.... Some of them you can update via manual downloads (virus defs with Intelligent Updater, patches by downloading the whole new package when it is available), but like you said, activation is no way without internet connection.
