Product not compatible with operating system?

Hi there! I recently bough a new PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and wanted to install Norton 360 v 5.0 Now, I followed the instructions on the web site and got a folder of installation files. I ran the install, but I got an error saying that "This product is not compatible with this computer's operating system." 
Now it says Windows 7 Home Premium (which I have) is one of the accepted systems. I do not know why there is an issue. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To be safe, try redownloading the installation file separate from the 'Norton Installed Files' folder  Before doing that though, delete the 'Norton Installed Files' and delete the files from your temp folder by typing in %temp% into the 'Start Search' bar near the bottom of the Windows Start menu.  Press enter and delete all the files located in that folder.  From there, redownload the installation file for Norton 360 5.0 from here:

Save the file to your desktop then choose to right click it and run as Administrator.  If you still run into the issue, make sure all your Windows updates are installed first and THEN try to reinstall.  Failing that, boot the computer into safe mode and try to install there.  If that doesn't do it, right click the installation file, choose the compatability tab near the top, uncheck "Run this program in compatibility mode for", click Apply, then try to reinstall.
