I have a non-English version of NIS v20. Yesterday I noticed a new subfolder c:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Internet Security\Engine\20.3.0.36\ (and identical in Engine64). The LU log listed the update 'ENGINE,NIS,INSTALLDIR', "Reboot not required".
The 'About' info still displays v20.2.1.22 as the active one. I have rebooted several times. I am working with Symantec about problems with my WinXP computer (cannot update past 20.1.0.24). I have briefly mentioned the update issue with Win7.
I should like to know: Have other NIS users observed the new engine folder(s) whilst the app still runs the previous version?
